Parent Workshops for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

At Shelley, we know that the foundation for a child’s lifelong learning is built in the early years — and that parents and carers play a vital role in that journey. Our EYFS Parent Workshops are designed to help you better understand our early years curriculum and how we bring it to life through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.

These sessions will also offer practical guidance on how you can support your child’s early literacy and maths development at home, using simple, engaging strategies that align with what they’re learning in school.

Whether you're curious about how phonics is taught or want ideas for building number sense in everyday routines, these workshops are here to help you feel confident and involved every step of the way.

We’ve already held a number of workshops earlier this year, and you can find links to the PDFs and resources from those sessions below. If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to contact our EYFS Lead, Miss Howland.

New starters joining us in the 2025/2026 academic year will have the opportunity to attend these workshops live during the first term, providing a valuable introduction to our approach and how you can support your child from day one.

Together, we can help your child build a strong and joyful start to their learning journey.
