School Librarians

School librarians are pupils who help to look after our school library and encourage others to enjoy reading. They support younger children in choosing books, help keep the library organised and make sure everyone has a calm and welcoming place to read.

Our librarians take pride in promoting a love of reading across the school. They help to keep books tidy, recommend their favourite stories and support their peers in finding books they will enjoy.

The librarian role is a whole-school responsibility which aims to:

- promote a love of reading across the school;

- support pupils in choosing books that interest them;

- help to keep the library tidy, organised and welcoming;

- encourage pupils to take care of books and reading resources;

- develop responsibility, leadership and teamwork skills;

- create a calm and enjoyable space for reading.

- support children with completing AR quizzes
