Sports Ambassadors

Sports Ambassadors promote healthy, active lifestyles and encourage all pupils to take part in sport and physical activity. All pupils in years 5 and 6 are invited to apply for the role of Sports Ambassador. Successful applicants have 3 training sessions and half termly meetings.  

Sports Ambassadors: 

- Act as role models by demonstrating good sportsmanship, teamwork and enthusiasm during lessons, playtimes, and sports events. 

- Organise physical activities during playtimes for both infants and juniors encouraging other children to try new sports and stay active. 

- Year 6 Sports Ambassadors support and lead during PE lessons in the Summer term.  

- Assist teachers and pupils during Infants Sports Day and other school events. 

- Are guided by staff to become effective young leaders.
